Hungary is one of the European countries that doesn’t often pop up in the travel chats or in conversations. It is one of the road less travelled countries in Europe but it certainly deserves a visit. I regret only staying few night there, but we so much enjoyed our time in Eger exploring the beautiful city and castle! I will happily return one day.
- Eszterházy Károly University
- Beautiful town of Eger
- Statue commemorating the battle against the Turks in 1552
- The minorite church of Eger
- Eger Castle
- The ruins of the Romanesque basilica in the Eger Castle
- This fortress was built after the Mongol invasion in 1241
- Wall of the old fortress Eger Castle
- Streets of Eger
- Time for a fresh snack.
Stay tuned for more #FridayFotos. Next week is Iceland.
