The Maldives, a tropical paradise to say the least. Picturesque magazine advertisements come to life. The kind of tropical getaway you dream of with palm trees, white beaches, bright tropical fish and coconuts. This was my first-ever experience of an island paradise, and even after visiting countries like Mauritius, Jamaica, St Lucia and Dominican Republic, The Maldives remain #1 on my luxury list.
Made up of 1,190 islands, half of the inhibited islands have been turned into tourist resorts which visitors can reach by speed boat or float plane. Generally a far reach from most places, it’s worth the journey!
- Male the capital city of the Maldives
- Leaving Male.
- Heading to our Island getaway
- Arriving to our very quiet almost private island, Asdu
- Feeling spoiled.
- Bree diving in to see all the brightly coloured tropical fish
- Love the tropical storms
- Don’t sit out in the sun if you are takeing doxycyclin for malaria prevention.
- Sunset at its best
- Such white sands.
- Mind your step. So many sea cucumbers.
- Sea cucumbers are interesting creatures.
- Paddleing around our island
- Ammon enjoying the last light of the day
- A beautiful moonrise
Stay tuned for more #FridayFotos. Next week is Mali.
