My favourite country of all!!! Of course, I am 100% biased because I love my home, family and country so incredibly much, but after this Friday Fotos photo essay, you will understand WHY Canada makes an incredible holiday destination. Ironically, it took me the world to open my eyes to the beauty within my own “backyard”. Before taking off on our grand four year global escapade as a family, we ran a local tour company. I often didn’t understand why people had come from all around the world to see MY country, MY city. What was so special? And even more crazy, I’d never set foot in another province until after the trip.
Canada has so much to offer from beautiful big cities for nightlife and city lovers. Whale watching, hiking, camping, skiing, boating and so much more for those who love the big outdoors and adventure. Soak up mother natures’ stunning lakes, ocean, mountains, forests, prairies. Canada is a liberal, safe, clean and modern country that I feel so privileged to call home.
After visiting 103 countries, one of my absolute favourite trips has been a few week road trip from Vancouver into the Rocky Mountains and seeing Banff and Jasper. We were in awe at the natural wonders around us from waterfalls, lakes and snow peaked mountains to bears and their cubs to giant elk.

Sometimes I think both Canada and even the U.S. are travel destinations people don’t often think about. They aren’t considered “exotic”, especially for residents of the countries, but North America has so, so, so much to offer!!! Canada is my reminder to you that beauty can be found in your own backyard.
