Macedonia represents a lot of strong feelings for me as it was the place where I almost lost my sister and where our family trip ended…or so we thought. Don’t want to give too many spoilers so you’ll just have to wait for Volume 4 of the Sihpromatum series!

Macedonia itself is a stunning country, and another of Europe’s lesser known tourist countries. We lost ourselves in the mountains as we hiked to secluded churches and monasteries, rode trains, stayed with peace corps workers and made new friends. Get a look inside of one of Europe’s hidden gems.
