Jordon Photo Essay

In 2006 after a short stop back home in Vancouver, Canada, Jordan was our second beginning of our trip around the world. With my dad and my first love in tow, we landed in the ancient city of Amman, Jordan and met back up with my brother Ammon our leader. If you love history, Jordan is RICH with it. At The Dead Sea you will have a swimming experience apart from any other, Kerak Castle of the crusades with is dark history will have you wondering, the World Wonder PETRA will have you on your knees in awe and the ancient Roman streets of Jerash will have you walking into the past.

The Dead Sea

It really is possible to just sit in the sea and float. Swimming is near impossible and watch out for salt in the eyes.

Mom loving the Roman ruins of Jerash

Jerash has evidence of settlements dating back to the Bronze age.

It is so great to be able to explore the ruins.

The oval forum. Jerash is one of the best preserved ruins in the near east.

A great day of hiking in Petra

An impressive view of some of the ruins in Petra

This is the most famous cut out building in Jordan. The treasury. This became most famous after Indiana Jones arrived 😉

The Monastery is very impressive and you will need to hike to get to it.

Ammon is soaking up the history of the area.

Petra is one of the new 7 World Wonder as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I have no doubt as to why!

A little sisterly love.

Stay tuned for more #FridayFotos. Next week is Kazakhstan .
