Ireland Photo Essay

Ireland was a breath of fresh air when we took a 3 week side trip there after 5 months in Egypt! Ireland’s glimmering green fields spotted with wooly sheep and deep blue skies with fluffy white clouds was a more than refreshing break from the hot, sandy bustle of Cairo etc. Our excuse to fly way off track from our 4-year family excursion and totally out of our budget land, was meeting up with Bree’s best friend Brittany (referred to as Stephanie in “Backpacks and Bra Straps”) who, at the time, had just moved there.

The parents, brother Ammon, sister Bree and I took off in a rented car and explored the entire island. We were thrilled to have exceptionally good weather considering we spent three weeks in Ireland in October! It’s hard to believe but we had hardly any rain! Castles, emerald green fields, farms, graveyards, tiny villages, these words mean nothing until you’ve seen the photos. So enjoy today’s photo essay and be sure to plan your very own trip to Ireland! I am just itching to return!
