I hope everyone has been enjoying this bright and joyous holiday season by surrounding yourselves with loved ones. And if you’re not surrounded by loved ones, I hope that’s because you are out exploring the world.
Mom and I spent Christmas Eve watching Downton Abbey until 7am. It was absolutely perfect! At the end of each episode she kept saying, “Okay, now we really need to go to bed. It’s so late!” to which I would respond, “Mom! It’s Christmas EVE!”
Christmas Day was spent in bed and then a lovely gathering with the Dutch family. I certainly missed my Canadian family this year but am so happy that Bree, Donavin and Dad will arrive on the 28th to spend New Years Eve with us. Holland is a spectacular place to welcome the new year with all of the outrageous fireworks.
Visiting Santa has been a Christmas tradition ever since Ammon was a baby! Here are a few from the collection from 1980-2014.
What does everyone have planned for New Years Eve?!

PS Doesn’t this dog just look like a total bah humbug Grinch!? hahaha

WOW, now that is what I would call a “Downtown Abbey” marathon. 🙂
Some really neat pictures with Santa over the years. The poor boy crying in the 2nd picture brought back memories of my own children during this stage of life. They always seemed to have tears, but were fine in the later years.
Just a quiet New Year’s Eve for me Savannah. Wishing you a wonderful 2016! 🙂
