I have to start with saying how honoured I am to have my books right up there on display next to Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield! Thank you so much Black Bond Books for the privilege and #1 fan Melanee for being the star behind the scenes. I cannot wait for the book signing at the store on Saturday, November 1st at #BlackBondBooks in Lynn Valley Mall, North Vancouver.

Yesterday (wow was that seriously only yesterday?) I spent time with big brother Sky in the morning/afternoon and had the best time doing round #2 of hot sauce taste testing with our traditional Mac n Cheese mixed with tunafish. Delicious childhood memories!!!

Hung out all night with Leslie and Candace who has visited me twice in Holland (that’s actually where I met her for the first time). I’m still blown away by the size of everything and I think I amused the girls with my reaction to the size of not only their house, but the bunker sized FRIDGE and everything in it. I could practically freaking climb into that ketchup bottle! I couldn’t believe I was able to keep my eyes open until midnight.

For the record of Savannah fails, I stupidly managed to miss the large shipment of my “Backpacks and Bra Straps” books….lost them for 5 days…leaving me in quite an uncomfortable state.

We were all so excited when the shipment arrived safe and sound JUST in time. I’d already sold the two full boxes (they came when I arrived) in my first week and was having to take orders! I have the best family in the world. Couldn’t do it without you. THANK YOU for making this dream come true!!! 1,560 “Backpacks and Bra Straps” books need new homes so make sure to get your signed copy directly from me while I’m in town.

I feel like we fit three days into one but we’re having so much fun that the whole thing seems to be going by quickly and slowly all at once.

Today, I bought my very first vehicle. The newest addition in the family is a 7-seater 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan and it’s exactly what we need for the book tour. The previous owner had it for 11 years and took such great care that it’s almost in perfect condition.

An absolute beauty, from a friend (reader!) of a friend (new reader), we got a fantastic deal. Thank you so much Jackie for connecting us. I couldn’t be happier and our first fair with it starts tomorrow at the West Coast Women’s Show in Abbotsford. It’s already stuffed full of posters, banners, a table, chairs and boxes of BOOKS!!! I foresee many great things happening with the BOOKMOBILE!
